How we check our facts
How we check our facts
Off to the Snooker is an independent UK visitor guide. We check the practical details behind a trip: ticket prices, session times, seating, transport and access. Off to the Races is our content model: useful facts, real local places and short, plain-English sentences.
Sources we use
For prices, release dates, entry rules and access arrangements, we start with World Snooker Tour, the venue, its official booking office and current PDFs. Rail operators, councils and attractions are the first sources for travel and local facilities.
For stable history and tournament format, we also use reputable reporting and specialist sources such as BBC Sport, Sky Sports, WPBSA and SnookerHQ. If we use Wikipedia, we check its cited sources. We record the sources and unresolved questions in the project’s research handoff.
Dates, prices and uncertainty
A checked date means we reviewed the published information on that date. It does not mean a price or arrangement is guaranteed until the tournament. Prices say whether fees are included; a booking link is not a claim of available seats.
If the new visitor sheet is not published, we label last-season guidance with its year. We distinguish official times from planning estimates, and ordinary theatre policies from event rules. A missing fact is marked [UNVERIFIED] where reasonable research has not resolved it.
When official sources disagree, we explain the difference rather than silently choosing the convenient figure. Your seller’s current terms and booking confirmation take precedence. We do not invent a precise seat view, child policy or accessible route from a generic map.
Independence and commission
We are not affiliated with World Snooker Tour, the WPBSA or any venue. No affiliate schemes are joined in this build; provider links currently earn no commission. If we add commercial links, we will label them and update the disclosure. Commission will not decide our recommendations. We do not carry betting or bookmaker links.
Corrections and limits
Spotted an error? Email webmaster@offtothesnooker.com with the page, the detail and a source if possible. We will review the evidence and update the guide and checked date when a change is warranted.
We cannot provide live ticket stock, guarantee transport connections or audit every accessible route. Named places and walk times help with planning; individual access needs should be confirmed with the venue or provider. This standards page was checked on 5 October 2026.
