Tickets: on-sale dates and resale

Start from WST or the venue’s official event page. The World Championship and Masters priority windows below happened in 2026. Check the official seller for current seats.

Checked on 6 October 2026 · Event-specific exceptions and unpublished details are identified below.

The official route for each event

For the 2027 World Championship, begin at Crucible Snooker’s official booking office or the WST ticket page. The booking office lets you select a named session and see its available categories. Follow the seller from that route rather than choosing a search advert because it appears above the official result.

For the 2027 Masters, use WST’s 2027 ticket page and the Alexandra Palace event listing. The current hospitality product is the 147 Club. Use the 2027 brochure for its prices and inclusions; earlier Century and 1875 articles describe their own editions.

For the 2026 UK Championship, York Barbican’s official listing links to AXS. Its date range agrees with the current price sheet: 28 November–6 December. An older WST ticket-page line still says 27 November; we use the corroborated current documents and record the discrepancy in the research handoff. Checked 6 October 2026.

On-sale dates: which year are you reading?

The official 2026 Crucible visitor sheet announced the releases for the 2027 World Championship: annual WST Play subscribers on 1 May 2026 at 11am; website subscribers on 3 May at 9am; general sale on 4 May at 9am. The year in the ticketed event and the year of its release are different. Source: Sheffield Theatres visitor PDF.

For the 2027 Masters, WST announced annual-subscriber first priority on 15 January 2026 at 2pm, a second priority window on 17 January at 10am, and general sale on 18 January at 10am. WST’s release announcement was subsequently updated, so its body is more useful than the original publication date alone.

These release periods have ended. Remaining seats are listed by the official seller. For a later edition, look for its own dated announcement: it supplies the eligibility, release time and event year. The next 2028 sale date remains unpublished here.

For York, an AXS Premium offer records a 7 December 2025, 10am launch for the 2026 event. That is evidence for that offer only. [UNVERIFIED: a single general on-sale date covering every UK Championship 2026 category was not established from the public official listings.] Use the live official seller for current availability.

How WST Play priority works

WST’s Masters release identifies annual WST Play subscribers for first priority. First-priority eligibility in that announcement is tied to an annual subscription. The second window and general sale have their own times. Follow the eligibility wording in the actual event announcement before paying for a membership to obtain priority.

Priority is a chance to book in a specified release period. Admission requires a separate successful ticket order. Select from the inventory offered in your release window and check the basket’s session and category. Finalists emerge through the later knockout rounds, after the initial sale.

Follow WST’s and the seller’s account instructions for an emailed priority link or eligibility check. Use your own account to complete the order and retain its confirmation. The dates here describe the announced windows; account access and the order itself are handled by the seller.

Compare the complete ticket cost

Our event tables transcribe the published face values. At the Crucible the calculator adds the published 10% transaction fee. At the Masters it adds a 10% booking fee and £2.10 restoration levy per ticket; the £1 charity contribution is already included in the listed price. The published all-day Masters offers need separate levy confirmation, because the sheet leaves the number of issued tickets unclear.

York’s 2026 price sheet says fees are extra. The venue separately publishes a facility-fee rule based on a show’s average ticket value, rather than an individual-seat threshold. The official AXS checkout was inaccessible through the supported reader. The York calculator therefore has a box for the whole-party fees you are actually quoted and excludes unentered fees.

A Standard seat, Premium seat and hospitality package are different products. Check the session, row or band, package inclusions and total before completing payment. Two separately purchased sessions are also different from an all-day offer. Our session comparison labels the price basis and fee treatment for each event, so you can compare the published amounts.

Official resale is event-specific

The Crucible’s current 2027 terms say that tickets are non-transferable and require permission for resale. Unauthorised resale can lead to cancellation. That is the rule to follow for this edition. The same page has a separate 2026 section describing a charged box-office resale attempt once equivalent seats are sold out; confirm the current service with the box office before returning a 2027 ticket. Read the 2027 terms heading.

Ask the official box office what it permits for your booking if you cannot attend. Describe whether you need a name change, gift transfer or resale, so the box office can apply the current permission requirement to your order. Keep the booking reference private when making a public enquiry.

WST has a See Tickets Fan to Fan Marketplace, whose indexed description says tickets are offered at their original price or less. The supported reader returned 403 for the live marketplace. Ask the seller about Masters 2027 eligibility and check the live listing for returned stock.

AXS says that selling can be unavailable for an event, a ticket type or an offer. Its resale support page explains those limits. [UNVERIFIED: AXS Official Resale activation for UK Championship 2026 was not established.] Check the actual ticket’s resale options with AXS.

Avoid unofficial sellers and copied tickets

AXS advises customers to buy from an official source rather than Viagogo or another broker. Its official support guidance explains that tickets bought elsewhere may not be genuine or valid. Check the organiser’s authorised selling route even when another website advertises a refund guarantee.

For the Crucible, the current event terms give an additional reason to avoid an unauthorised resale: the ticket can be cancelled. A copied ticket image can be shared with several buyers. Use the authorised seller’s delivery route and ask it to confirm any permitted transfer.

Start from the official event link and check that the date, venue and session in the basket match your plan. Check reported sell-outs at the official seller before responding to a social-media offer. The official route identifies the seller, the ticket’s delivery method and the booking conditions.

Returns, cancelled play and named players

Buy the named session shown on the order. Players appear subject to availability, and knockout results determine who reaches later rounds. The Crucible’s current terms also define when a scheduled final session counts as completed and what happens if it is curtailed. We keep those detailed thresholds on the World Championship page ; London and York use their own conditions.

Ordinary voluntary changes and an organiser cancelling or materially changing an event are different situations. Use the snooker terms linked to your order when asking about a change of travel plans. Separately promoted events have their own booking conditions alongside the venue’s ordinary theatre policies.

Contact the seller through the official booking site for a lost confirmation, admission problem or requested change. The Crucible, Alexandra Palace and York Barbican hubs collect practical venue contacts. For access tickets, use each venue’s accessibility guide before purchasing a general seat; the access team confirms companion allocation and the suitable booking route.

Buying a ticket as a gift

A gifted ticket still has an event date, a named session and seller conditions. Before buying for someone else, establish that they can attend that session and that any identity or transfer requirement can be met. Use the current seller’s instructions for the recipient’s details and ticket delivery.

For a child, check the event’s admission rule before paying. The children’s guide compares the three venues. York’s published concession eligibility includes specified adult categories; its age-accompaniment rule is separate. A gift recipient’s age can therefore affect admission without creating a discounted price.

Book event admission separately from a cue, book or other snooker gift. If you give a programme or radio voucher, check whether the chosen hospitality package already includes it. Keep the actual ticket confirmation with the recipient’s travel information, including the actual session time.
