The 2026 UK Championship

York’s final stages run 28 November–6 December 2026, with 32 players: the top 16 join 16 qualifiers. The qualifying tournament is at Leicester’s Mattioli Arena on 21–26 November; it is not included in a York ticket.

The official prize fund is £1.5 million, with £312,500 for the winner, announced by WST on 20 April 2026. Mark Selby is defending champion after beating Judd Trump 10–8 in 2025.

The WST ticket-page header still says 27 November. The price sheet, both seating plans, venue listing and WST’s September qualifying announcement agree on 28 November; that is the date used here. Checked 6 October 2026.

What the UK Championship is

The UK Championship is a ranking tournament and the first of the season’s three Triple Crown events, followed by the Masters and World Championship. Unlike the 16-player Masters invitational, York’s final stages bring together 16 seeds and 16 qualifiers. WST sets the top-16 cutoff after the International Championship in early November; a ranking position earlier in the season does not settle the final field.

The separate qualifying event runs at Leicester’s Mattioli Arena on 21–26 November. WST publishes £12 all-day tickets there, with eight tables during the opening four days and four on the last two. Those are qualifying arrangements, not cheaper York tickets. Players outside the top 16 must earn their York place through that route. Read WST’s official qualifying announcement.

The official 2026 price sheet marks two tables through 4 December and one on 5–6 December. In two-table rounds, simultaneous matches occupy different tables; a reserved seat does not provide equally good sightlines to both.

The two-table plan shows Block A to the left, Block C to the right and Block B behind the two tables. It does not label Table 1 / Table 2 or show a named partition. [UNVERIFIED: numbered-table assignment and the precise 2026 partition arrangement.] Ask the seller which match/table a selected seat faces.

The single-table plan replaces the two tables with one central table for the final weekend. Premium is allocated in rows A/B; 1875 hospitality has seats in the first two rows.

The established UK format is best of 11 through the semi-finals: first to six frames, one match session. The final is first to ten over two sessions, traditionally eight frames in the afternoon and up to eleven in the evening. The 2026 pricing PDF supplies table counts and times but not a separate format statement; the match-length detail follows the published 2025 format until the 2026 draw is released. Starts are 1pm and 7pm every day.

How to pick a session

For price, compare weekday last-32 Standard £30 with the opening weekend’s £32. Weekday concession eligibility can bring a last-32 session to £25. For one-table play, select 5 December onwards; a £55 Standard semi-final is cheaper than a £60 or £65 final session.

For the entire final, compare the £110 Standard all-day offer with £125 for the two Standard sessions separately, before fees. An afternoon-only final ticket covers the opening part, not the trophy presentation. No ticket guarantees a named player before the draw and preceding results.

The following tables transcribe the official 2026 price sheet. A dash means no price is listed; it does not mean a free ticket or a sold-out category. Prices exclude booking fees. Premium includes programme and fan radio; 1875 adds hospitality. There are 63 published price values across the 18 sessions and nine all-day offers.

The booking/facility fee total is [UNVERIFIED]. The venue’s fee bands depend on the show’s average ticket value, so this guide does not apply them automatically to individual prices. Use the actual AXS checkout quote in the venue calculator.

Only Standard and Concession all-day prices are published. Concessions are not listed for weekends or the quarter-finals onwards. The sheet lists 65+, registered unemployed, students with NUS ID, NHS staff with NHS ID, and registered disabled visitors; an eligible carer is free. Proof may be requested.

Prices were visually checked against the PDF because its extracted text contains hidden £30 values in blacked-out cells. Those blank categories are deliberately not offered by the calculator. Buy through WST’s official seller links.

Event-specific ticket terms

The final is on Sunday 6 December, not a bank holiday. Its evening session is marked as the final session of the match; a lead built earlier can leave relatively few frames to play.

You pay for the listed session, not a guaranteed number of hours or a particular player. Match completion can shorten play; do not assume another match will be moved into your slot. WST’s published terms exclude exchanges and refunds except for a materially altered or cancelled event. The applicable WST box-office terms and venue terms govern any compensation; no York-specific numeric early-finish threshold was found. Contact the original seller about a claim.

For arrival, cashless payments, bags, children, food, emergencies and the day timeline, use the Barbican on-the-day guide and help contacts.

Plan around the finish

Allow the station walk after play and check the train for your exact date. Evening sessions have no fixed finish. See the York transport guide for street routes, parking and Park & Ride restrictions; use the accessibility guide for step-free arrangements.
