Telford International Centre: accessibility

Confirm your event seat with WST and your route with the centre. The building has ramped entrances, automatic doors, lifts and accessible toilets.

Book the position and companion first

Contact ticketing@wst.tv about the Players Championship seat, wheelchair place and free carer ticket. The published tariff lists registered disabled visitors among concession groups on Tuesday to Thursday, with a carer free. Proof is required on arrival. Tell the seller the date, session, mobility equipment and whether you need a transfer seat.

[UNVERIFIED: number of wheelchair positions, companion placement, evidence accepted and booking method]. The seating PDFs mark carer and restricted-view positions, but a marked position still needs the seller’s allocation. Ask for confirmation in writing before paying. The event tariff shows every priced category; use the venue contact for the building route, rather than ticket inventory.

Arriving from the station

Telford Central has step-free access to all platforms, using lifts, and hearing loops. National Rail classifies it as Category A. Its published staffed assistance hours are Monday–Saturday 6am–7pm and Sunday 10am–5pm. Book assistance for the actual journey, including your return after evening snooker.

The venue allows 10–15 minutes for the station walk. This is an ordinary walking estimate; choose a taxi if distance, crossings or luggage make that route unsuitable. Give the driver your agreed entrance: Gate A uses TF3 4JH and rear Gate B TF3 4EH. Discuss drop-off with the venue on 01952 281500.

Accessible parking

The centre lists thirteen accessible spaces in its surface parking and nine in its multi-storey. These cannot be booked ahead. Check availability and the route to your entrance with venue staff. Charges depend on the event; the checked information gives no Players-specific parking tariff or Blue Badge charge exemption.

The wider site has 1,500 spaces and four EV chargers. Arrival time matters when using an unreserved accessible bay. If another person drives, agree a drop-off point with the venue and allow them time to park.

Doors, lifts and toilets

All entrances have automatic doors and ramps. A lift in the Reception Foyer serves the first floor. Accessible toilets are on both floors, with hooks and shelves. Ask staff for the shortest route from your allocated snooker position to the toilet before settling into the session.

The venue welcomes assistance dogs. Hearing loops can be hired on request; contact the centre before arrival to arrange what you need. A personal hearing aid or venue loop enquiry is separate from the Premium commentary radio offer.

First-floor emergency refuges are provided. Staff assist during an evacuation. Tell a steward where you are seated if you need help with stairs, transfers or leaving the arena.

Mobility equipment hire

The centre publishes scooter hire at £50 for one day or £90 for two, with a maximum user weight of 140kg / 22 stone. Manual wheelchair hire is £15 per day, also with a 140kg maximum. Powered wheelchair hire is by quotation, with a maximum of 114kg / 18 stone. These are venue hire prices checked on 9 October 2026, rather than snooker ticket prices.

Use the venue’s equipment request form and wait for availability confirmation. The procedure involves payment, photographic ID and a hire agreement. Call the centre if the published equipment differs from your requirements. Arrange collection and return around the actual session times.

Changing Places and medical needs

[UNVERIFIED: a Changing Places toilet inside the International Centre]. The nearby Telford Centre Bus Station toilets have a changing bed and hoist according to the centre’s Shopmobility information. Confirm opening hours, access and the route for your visit, particularly for an evening session.

WST restricts outside food and drink. Ask the event organiser in advance about essential medical supplies, food, drink and bags, and retain the reply for entry staff. Security searches are part of venue arrival. Request a suitable place for medication or equipment when booking your seat.

During the session

Tell a steward about any help you need to enter or leave. Late entry happens at a suitable break under WST terms. On Tuesday and Wednesday two matches may be in play together, so follow staff directions when moving between frames.

For a quieter break, ask staff where you can wait outside the playing auditorium and how to return using your ticket. Concessions end on Thursday; if you attend Friday to Sunday, check the companion entitlement directly even though the sheet has no concession column amount for those days.
